CASE Study Conference
Taking place on the 10th and 11th of December 2013.
The production of Coatings, Adhesive, Sealants and Elastomers based on polyurethane and polyurea chemistry is, understandably, one of the most diverse applications of this versatile technology.
CASE markets account more than 2.2 million tonnes of product. While precise data is hard to come by, the monetary value of this important segment is known to be high, in view of the complexity of the applications and the vital performance attributes which the PU-based materials provide: many of the products are precisely tailored for specific and highly demanding applications.
So we are talking about a substantial, highly diverse and dynamic business segment and, as noted earlier, its developments and requirements are often neglected.
This is about to change!
The CASE Study Conference now being planned by Crain Communications Ltd, publishers of Urethanes Technology International magazine, creators of the UTECH conference and exhibition concept, will bring a sharp focus on all aspects of value and concern to these diverse activities. With strong guidance from David Reed with his long experience in the polyurethanes sector, papers will be considered reporting on all developments relevant to the development, manufacture, processing and application of polyurethane and polyurea chemistry in each of the four segments: Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers, including systems based on polyurea chemistry as well as the Thermoplastic Polyurethane materials (TPUs).
Topics to be covered in each of the four segments will include:
- New processing equipment and techniques;
- Application and manufacturing processes;
- Novel materials and chemical systems;
- Performance-enhancing additives.
